About The Position

The Inventory Associate visits gas stations and convenience stores to perform accurate physical inventory counts and report results to store managers. Work is performed in freezers, coolers, stockrooms, and on salesfloors. Associates typically work in teams of two or three and visit one or two stores per day within a three-hour radius of their home base. The position involves daily travel, with arrival at job sites by 6 AM; commute time is additional to the workday, and some departures from home may be as early as approximately 3 AM. The schedule is typically 36–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Workdays are not set shifts, and end times vary with workload. Most days finish between 1 PM and 5 PM, excluding commute time. The role also includes on-site problem-solving and discrepancy resolution, communication with the division manager, administrative tasks, travel coordination, and training and coaching auditors.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license, active car insurance, and successful completion of a motor vehicle check.
Willingness to travel daily to gas stations and convenience stores within a three-hour radius of the home base.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, bend and squat, and operate a keypad.
Comfort working in varying temperature environments, including freezers and coolers.
Reliable Wi-Fi access.

Responsibilities

Accurately count physical inventory using a 10-key machine.
Work in a small team, typically of two or three people, visiting one or two stores per day.
Work in freezers, coolers, stockrooms, and on the salesfloor.
Provide end-of-audit reports to store managers.
Address inventory discrepancies and problem-solve on-site.
Communicate client-specific concerns to the division manager.
Complete administrative tasks, including payroll transmission and invoicing.
Coordinate daily travel and carpooling logistics.
Provide training, coaching, and development for auditors.
