About The Position

Glacier is a Series A startup based in San Francisco focused on solving the problem of recyclable materials ending up in landfills. They are developing custom sorting robots and AI-powered business analytics to improve recycling processes, reduce carbon emissions, and conserve natural resources. Their technology has received recognition from TIME, TechCrunch, Fortune, and CBS. The company is seeking an organized, proactive, and dependable Inventory & Facilities Coordinator to join their San Francisco team. This role will serve as the operational backbone, ensuring the team has the necessary parts, tools, and a conducive environment for robot development and deployment. The position reports to the Production Manager.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in inventory management, shop operations, or a related role.
Demonstrated experience implementing or working with inventory management systems.
Experience with parts receiving, cycle counts, and procurement in a hardware or manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records consistently.
Comfortable working in a hands-on, shop floor environment alongside engineers and technicians.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hardware startup or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with barcode, RFID, or other physical inventory tracking systems.
Forklift certified.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end inventory operations including parts receiving, cycle counts, and system updates when products are shipped.
Handle purchasing for production and field service, including ordering parts and negotiating with vendors.
Improve inventory and ordering processes to prevent production delays.
Maintain the shop floor in an organized, clean, and safe condition.
Order and manage office, shipping, and PPE supplies.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure the facility is in good working order.
