About The Position

The Destination Imagination (DI) Sponsor manages preparation of a DI team for the Boulder Regional Tournament and, when applicable, further competitions. The role includes responsibility for team members’ safety and involves organizing practices and research activities, as well as chaperoning students at competitions. The position is at Lafayette Elementary in Lafayette, Colorado, and is scheduled from November 18, 2026, through April 3, 2027.

The coach provides leadership in coordinating team meetings, developing expectations and direction for the DI program, teaching skills needed for regional competition, communicating with students and staff, and following district regulations and policies. The position reports to the school principal associated with the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Complete and submit a BVSD online application.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the schedule for team meetings and practices.
