About The Position

EDUStaff is seeking an Interventionist for a grant-funded position at Oakview, available in September 2026. This position runs from August 26, 2026, to May 28, 2027. The Interventionist will provide specific literacy and mathematics interventions through push-in or pull-out methods, conduct small group lessons, assess and monitor student progress, and support early childhood transition (K-1). The role also involves assisting with behavioral needs and providing personal care services as needed. The Interventionist must complete all required state and federal documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good organizational skills and initiative, ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, students and the public.
  • Ability to implement with student, the strategies learned in training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in training before the start of the program, as well as on-going training.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers, MTSS Coordinator, Literacy Coordinator, and Mathematics Coordinator to support students.
  • Provide specific literacy and mathematics interventions through push-in or pull-out interventions.
  • Conduct small group lessons during designated intervention blocks.
  • Assess, monitor, and communicate student progress.
  • Effectively manage students within small group learning situations.
  • Support early childhood transition (K-1) by teaching and reinforcing school and classroom expectations.
  • Assist with behavioral needs, including implementing de-escalation strategies and facilitating breaks for students acclimating to school.
  • Provide personal care services as needed, including supporting toileting skills, utilizing visuals and prompting for cleanup procedures, and assisting with locating clean clothing.
  • Complete all required state and federal documentation, activity logs, including time and effort reports, annual certifications and/or personnel activity reports.
