About The Position

EDUStaff is seeking a Floating Substitute for the 2026/2027 academic year. This position involves providing classroom instruction to students across various school locations throughout the week. The role requires maintaining a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment, adhering to school routines, and ensuring regular and reliable attendance. The substitute will be responsible for delivering instruction based on provided lesson plans and acting as a professional example to students.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 60 college credit hours.
Must have reliable transportation – Employee will be moving between buildings throughout the work week.
Eligible for a Michigan Substitute Permit
Criminal history records background check
A resume is required for consideration.

Previous classroom experience

Responsibilities

Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned.
Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students.
Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by building principal.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.
Communicates effectively with parents when needed.
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
Completes other duties as assigned.
