The OR Interventional Technologist performs various roles involved in interventional imaging procedures. These roles are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • 1 year experience

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • May be designated as an interim shift lead in the absence of the Radiology Technologist Team Lead.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
