About The Position

United Health Services Hospitals is seeking an Attending Interventional Spine Physician to join their UHS Spine Care & Pain Relief practice. This role supports growth and succession planning in non-operative spine care. The practice is well-established with a strong referral base and a large primary care network. The team currently consists of two interventional spine physicians, five advanced practice providers, one clinical psychologist, and one social worker, handling over 4,000 interventional procedures and 24,000 clinic visits annually. The physician will perform a full spectrum of non-operative/interventional spine procedures, including fluoroscopy-guided spine injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation. Procedures are conducted in a hospital-sponsored, four-OR ambulatory surgery center adjacent to the clinic, ensuring efficiency and a positive patient experience. The practice is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapy specialists, five neurosurgeons, and a chiropractic team, fostering a collaborative approach to spine care. The position is primarily based in Binghamton, NY, with outreach clinics in Norwich and Walton. Opportunities for teaching residents and medical students from SUNY Upstate Medical University and participating in clinical research are available.

Requirements

  • Board-certified/board-eligible physician.
  • Residency training in PM&R.
  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine.
