About The Position

UMass Medical Group seeks an Academic Interventional Spine Physiatrist to join their growing team. This role is part of an Academic Spine Program within a Level I Trauma Center, offering exposure to a full spectrum of spine-related conditions. The position is within a multidisciplinary Spine Center focused on collaborative, outcomes-driven care. The team includes physiatrists, orthopedic spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, rheumatologists, and rehabilitation specialists. There is a dedicated Spine Procedure Suite equipped with advanced technology. The practice is high-volume with a strong emphasis on clinical outcomes and innovation. This role includes an academic appointment at UMass Chan Medical School with opportunities to teach and mentor residents and medical students. There is flexibility to shape the practice, with opportunities to pursue clinical interests, teaching, research, and program development.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Fellowship trained in Interventional Spine Physiatry
  • Interest in academic medicine and collaborative clinical practice
