About The Position

The Interventional Registered Nurse works in the Interventional Radiology department at Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a part-time, day-shift position. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient conditions, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and helps coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing is required before hire or job transfer, or a current home-state license if considered a multi-state/Compact State.
• A diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
