About The Position
AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a high-performing clinical team supporting the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. This role involves working in a high-volume, clinically diverse environment where you will directly impact the health and well-being of U.S. veterans. Requirements
- Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (ABR)
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Current DEA registration & NPI
- Active BLS & ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Proven technical expertise in interventional procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods
- Frequent movement (bending, reaching, pushing, pulling)
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality care
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced interventional radiology services, including image-guided biopsies, drainages, and catheter placements.
- Perform vascular interventions such as angioplasty, stenting, and thrombolysis.
- Conduct embolization procedures.
- Manage dialysis access.
- Perform paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biliary procedures.
- Provide full-spectrum patient care (pre-, intra-, and post-procedure).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Communicate clearly with patients and providers.
- Ensure timely documentation within the VA EHR system.
- Participate in on-call coverage and urgent response care.
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives.
