About The Position

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a high-performing clinical team supporting the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. This role involves working in a high-volume, clinically diverse environment where you will directly impact the health and well-being of U.S. veterans. Requirements

  • Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (ABR)
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Current DEA registration & NPI
  • Active BLS & ACLS (AHA) certifications
  • Proven technical expertise in interventional procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods
  • Frequent movement (bending, reaching, pushing, pulling)
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality care

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced interventional radiology services, including image-guided biopsies, drainages, and catheter placements.
  • Perform vascular interventions such as angioplasty, stenting, and thrombolysis.
  • Conduct embolization procedures.
  • Manage dialysis access.
  • Perform paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biliary procedures.
  • Provide full-spectrum patient care (pre-, intra-, and post-procedure).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and providers.
  • Ensure timely documentation within the VA EHR system.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and urgent response care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives.
