About The Position

The Interventional Procedures Technologist - Interventional Radiology position is a PRN (as needed) role within the Resource Team at Evanston Hospital. This role involves working day shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and includes rotating hours and on-call responsibilities. The technologist will be responsible for radiation safety, assisting physicians with Interventional Radiology (IR) and/or Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) procedures, maintaining equipment, documenting procedures, and managing supplies in the IR/Cath labs.

Requirements

  • IEMA license and ARRT Registered required
  • Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program
  • CPR/ BLS Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an Angiography technologist desirable
  • Excelled intercommunication and computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for radiation safety and protection of all team members during and after a procedure
  • Cross train to assist the physician to perform IR and/or Cath procedure (scrub the case); record/monitor the procedure; or circulate the procedure.
  • Maintain equipment used during the procedure
  • Charge and complete all required documentation for procedures
  • Assist in supply management and restocking of supplies in IR/Cath labs
