About The Position

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Key West, FL. This is an inpatient role requiring call-only coverage. The coverage period is from October 1, 2026, ongoing, with a 1:1 beeper call ratio and a 20-minute response time. The reason for coverage is a vacancy during a long-term permanent search. The average daily patient volume is 3, with 2 admissions. Rounding will include both assigned and unassigned patients, and there are approximately 4 phone consults per day. The facility utilizes Medhost EMR and has a support staff of 3 RNs and 2 office staff. The department has 4 beds. Temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC)
• Licensed in FL or IMLC
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology required

Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology services on a call-only basis.
• Manage inpatient cases, including admissions and rounding on assigned and unassigned patients.
• Respond to beeper calls within 20 minutes.
• Handle phone consults.
• Perform procedures as needed within the scope of interventional cardiology.
