About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Interventional Cardiologist in West Burlington, IA. The role involves both clinical duties and call coverage from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The physician will manage 12-15 clinic patients per day and handle 5-10 inpatient consults daily. The position requires performing various interventional cardiology procedures and diagnostic tests, as well as interpreting results from echoes, holters, and event monitors. The physician will also participate in 24-hour call coverage.

Requirements

• Active IA license or Universal License (IMLC)
• Proficiency in diagnostic catheterization
• Proficiency in angioplasty
• Proficiency in stenting
• Proficiency in stress echocardiography
• Proficiency in nuclear stress testing
• Ability to interpret echoes, holters, and event monitors
• Proficiency in TEEs
• Proficiency in cardioversions

Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology procedures including diagnostic catheterization, angioplasty, and stenting.
• Perform stress echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, and interpret echoes, holters, and event monitors.
• Conduct TEEs and cardioversions.
• Round on clinic patients (12-15 per day) and provide inpatient consults (5-10 per day).
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including general cardiology call as needed.
