About The Position

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Las Cruces, NM. This is an inpatient role requiring clinical coverage and call. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing, with a 1:4 beeper call ratio and a 30-minute response time. The reason for coverage is supplemental. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The average daily patient volume is 10-15, with 5-10 admissions and 15 phone consults. The facility is a Level III Trauma center utilizing the Medhost EMR system, with support staff including 2 RNs, 1 PA/NP, and 1 office staff member. Temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Licensed in NM
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage for interventional cardiology services
• Read and interpret echocardiograms
• Manage inpatient cardiology consults
• Provide on-call coverage as needed
• Collaborate with hospital staff and specialists
