About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Interventional Cardiologist at a hospital in Gettysburg, PA. The role involves both clinical duties and on-call coverage. The coverage period is from November 9, 2026, to February 8, 2027. The clinical shift is typically Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM or 7 AM to 6 PM, with on-call duties from Monday to Friday, 4 PM to 7 AM, and Saturday to Sunday, 7 AM to 7 AM, via beeper. The average patient volume includes 15 consults and 3 procedures per day. The case mix focuses on Interventional Cardiology procedures such as TEEs, Echo reads, Caths, and Cardiac Windows. The department has 74 beds and utilizes the Epic EMR system. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available. The credentialing timeline is 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
• Interpret echocardiograms (echo reads) and perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs).
• Perform cardiac catheterizations and cardiac window procedures.
• Provide STEMI call coverage including night and weekend beeper call.
• Manage cardiology patients, including pre- and post-procedure care.
