About The Position

A locum tenens Interventional Cardiologist position in Kearney, Nebraska, providing clinical and call coverage. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with nights and weekends on STEMI call in a 1:3 rotation. Weekday call is listed as 9 hours and weekend call as 10 hours. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The physician will perform inpatient rounds on weekdays and weekends, provide clinic coverage on weekdays when not covering the inpatient service, perform add-on catheterization procedures averaging 8–9 per week, cover STEMI call, and read and interpret ECHOs. Typical patient volume is 8–10 patients Monday through Friday and 7–8 on weekends. The facility has 175 beds and uses EPIC.

Requirements

Board certified.
Must hold a Nebraska license or be eligible through IMLC.
Provide case logs.
Must be able to read ECHOs.

Responsibilities

Perform inpatient rounds Monday through Friday and on weekends.
Perform add-on catheterization procedures, averaging 8–9 per week.
Cover STEMI call on a 1:3 rotation, including nights and weekends.
Read and interpret ECHOs.
Provide clinic coverage Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on days not covering inpatient service.
Perform the required procedures and duties: catheterizations, EKGs, echocardiograms, Holters, peripheral vascular procedures, nuclear medicine, and cardioversions.
