About The Position

Learn It Systems is seeking a Certified Teacher to work in K-8th grade classrooms. This is a part-time opportunity (10-15 hours/week) to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children. Potential positions could include specialized areas such as art, music, physical education, health, family & consumer sciences, and technology education. Other sought-after positions include certified special educators, ESL teachers, and reading and math specialists or interventionists. The role involves working virtually and/or in person with students in Non-Public Schools in Delaware County, collaborating with school personnel, program supervisors, school administrators, classroom teachers, and parents. The position requires planning and delivering effective instruction, maintaining accurate records, effective classroom management, and providing a safe and positive learning environment. Teachers are also responsible for attending staff meetings and completing administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Valid State of Pennsylvania Primary or Secondary teaching certificate required.
  • Classroom teaching experience required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Work location is in a school building where employees will need to be able to go up and down stairs when holding in-person sessions.
  • Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head when holding in-person sessions.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have reliable internet and a working personal computer with updated software and web-camera.
  • Must have hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer, as well as experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suites, Zoom/Meets, and other Ed Tech platforms.
  • Must be a self-starter and complete basic tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Applicants must be presently eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with various educational technology platforms preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility are preferred.
