About The Position

Gagosian is accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Internship Program in New York! Gagosian is a leading global art gallery that represents and exhibits some of the most important contemporary artists. Our internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and work closely with talented professionals in the art industry, while also participating in lectures and team projects with key members of Gagosian staff and artists. As an intern, you will be an integral part of the gallery’s daily operations and contribute to our mission of promoting and shaping contemporary art. In our internship program, you will work closely with a delegated department while supporting general gallery operations on a daily basis, gaining valuable experience, and cultivating lasting relationships.

Requirements

  • Current 3rd or 4th year undergraduates, recent graduates, or postgraduate students with degrees in Art History or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in the art world.
  • Flexibility, attention to detail, and a desire to learn are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
  • Candidates should be available to work at least three days per week and for the full duration of the internship program.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior museum, auction house, or gallery experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to meaningful projects and recurring tasks within your designated department.
  • Assisting gallery staff with daily operations, supporting colleagues across sales, artist liaison, research, and events.
  • Providing support to Front Desk staff with visitor inquiries and essential administrative tasks (including mail send-outs, publication and stock management, preparing offices for client meetings, expenses).
  • Assisting with general office operations, such as stocking supplies, organizing shared spaces, and maintaining inventory.
  • Participating in gallery openings and events.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
