About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in aerospace innovation, proudly headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec, since 1928. The Digital Project Engineer intern will join the Program Management team within Digital Engine Services (DES), reporting to the Associate Director, DES Program Management. The team's success relies on managing and delivering Engineering & Digital Transformation projects to ensure a positive customer experience. The intern's responsibilities will primarily involve project engineering.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, or mathematics (STEM)

  • Experience in engineering, operations, or project management, combined with strong communication skills and solid project management knowledge, is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of digital/technology-driven projects (software, IoT, or analytics initiatives).
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and coordinate with multi-disciplinary team
  • Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and status update communication to the respective stakeholders
  • Monitor project dashboards, timelines, and task progress to ensure that each digital initiative is on track.
  • Participate daily stand-ups with developers & engineers to track progress, resolve any potential blockers and clarify outstanding requirements.
  • Update project documentations, change logs, coordination memo, and work instruction manual.
  • Create and execute testing plan to review few features or capabilities as they are being deployed.
  • Collaborate with other project engineers to support continuous improvement of program management governance process.
  • Prepare status update packages for managers & stakeholders.
  • Evaluate new tools that will help in building robust project engineering processes.
