Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Excellent communication skills in French (spoken/written).
  • Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing KPIs, dashboards, and metrics to spot inefficiencies, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Digging into data trends (e.g., production delays, customer complaints, quality issues) using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Facilitating stand-ups or improvement huddles with frontline staff and managers.
  • Running short, focused workshops to brainstorm and implement quick wins.
  • Teaching Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile tools to employees so they can solve problems themselves.
  • Testing new workflows, automation tools, or standard operating procedures.
  • Supporting teams through transitions, ensuring buy-in and reducing resistance.
  • Updating process maps, SOPs, or value stream maps to reflect improvements.
  • Comparing today’s improvements against baseline metrics.
  • Analyze operational data using tools; prepare dashboards and updates for leadership on cost savings, efficiency gains, or quality improvements.
  • Reviewing case studies, industry benchmarks, or new methodologies to stay sharp.
