International Operations Coordinator

Living on the Edge with Chip IngramJohns Creek, GA
Onsite

About The Position

This position fulfills a critical administrative role in Living on the Edge’s (LOTE) ability to fulfill our mission to be a catalyst to equip followers of Jesus to be Romans 12 disciple-makers. As LOTE decentralizes operations to give regional offices greater ownership and responsibility, this role serves as the central financial gatekeeper and clearinghouse for all international financial activity. The International Operations Coordinator is highly detail-oriented "doer" who will maintain existing systems and collaborate with our technology team to automate custom financial workflows. This person ensures all compliance boxes are checked, deliverables are met, and financial documentation is complete before funds are disbursed. The position reports to the Executive Vice President, Global Ministries and operates out of the Duluth, GA office, working in close physical and collaborative proximity to the ministry’s central Finance Department.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to embrace Living on the Edge’s values as a Christian ministry. The bar is high for LOTE employees to act as ministry representatives as articulated in our Covenant Community policy.
  • Spiritually mature individual involved in a Christian church and committed to becoming a mature, authentic disciple of Jesus Christ (see Romans 12).
  • High desire for excellence in serving others and capability in maintaining systems; humble and willing to admit mistakes and own errors of judgment or decisions regardless of consequences. We are a no-excuse, no-finger-pointing organization.
  • Team-oriented, not a solo worker. Must have an interest and ability to integrate into a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere.
  • We serve other people, not ourselves, and we are stewards of what God has given us. Must have an "it’s not about me" attitude.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; a degree in Business, Finance, or a comparable field of study is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial tracking, or contract/MOU administration.
  • Ability to not just execute a checklist, but to structurally evaluate, improve, and enforce an organizational workflow.
  • An operational mindset that does not tolerate—but thrives on—meticulous documentation, multi-currency verification, and compliance.
  • High technological literacy. While QuickBooks is not required, the candidate must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and capable of conceptualizing custom automation tools with our tech engineers.
  • Possesses strong relational EQ and a patient, yet resilient personality to navigate varying cultural work styles while unswervingly protecting organizational goals.
  • This is a "get your hands dirty" role. There is limited delegation; this coordinator must personally fulfill all listed functions with independent focus.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Duluth, Georgia office to ensure close physical proximity to the central Finance team.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an international operational environment or a multi-unit Christian ministry setting (501c3 or church) is preferred.
  • Asana experience strongly preferred.

  • Track and process expense account for the Executive Vice President.
  • Navigate the operational "hoops" and regulatory guidelines associated with global wire transfers, international bank accounts, and regional cash advances.
  • Conduct ongoing ROI/ROO (Return on Investment/Objective) financial analysis on regional expenditures to optimize ministry stewardship.
  • Collaborate closely with the Technology team scope system needs to automate as much of the process as possible.
  • Champion the adoption of internal project management spaces (e.g., Asana) to track financial tasks, deadlines, and multi-region deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary operational bridge between the regional offices and the central Finance Department.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with Regional Directors and field Operations Managers regarding funding status, missing documentation, and financial workflows.
  • Prepare reporting for Executive Vice President on a monthly basis.
