About The Position

Select Sires, Inc. is seeking candidates to join their team as an International Marketing Intern. This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is based at their Visalia, CA facility and reports to the Senior Vice President of Export Operations. The internship aims to provide market support to international distributors, evaluate market dynamics, conduct market research, create marketing materials, manage social media content, write ad copy, assist with tour planning for international visitors, and work on special projects to strengthen the WWS brand. The intern will also demonstrate public speaking skills by presenting an internship summary presentation to the marketing department. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with potential for changes to meet departmental needs.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of and interest in the dairy industry.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Organized, willingness to learn, team player.
Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
Junior or Senior student majoring in Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agriculture or related area of study.
Evidence of work authorization upon employment is required in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Completion of USCIS form I-9 will be required to verify employment eligibility within three business days of the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
Provide market support to international distributors.
Evaluate current market dynamics and provide suggestions for new opportunities.
Conduct market research and develop presentations for the international marketing team.
Create marketing material to support our global brand and/or international distributors.
Plan and create content for WWS social media accounts.
Write ad copy and articles promoting our products, services, company, etc.
Assist with tour planning for our international visitors.
Work with the Senior Vice President of Visalia Operations and Business Development Directors on special projects that strengthen the WWS brand.
Demonstrate public speaking skills through creating and presenting an internship summary presentation to the marketing department.
