About The Position

GATE Hospitality Group’s J-1 Internship Program is a 12-month, hands-on placement for international interns interested in Food & Beverage or Culinary Arts. Interns gain real-world experience in luxury hospitality operations and exposure to Forbes Five-Star service standards across the company’s award-winning properties. The program includes frontline operational experience, rotational job shadowing, training, networking, mentorship, coaching, and completion of a capstone project presented to property leadership. Future visa opportunities may be considered based on performance.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Hospitality, Culinary, or related program.
• Eligible for a J-1 visa through an approved sponsor.
• Strong passion for Food & Beverage or Culinary Arts.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work in frontline Food & Beverage or Culinary operations.
• Participate in rotational job shadowing within F&B outlets or culinary disciplines.
• Complete a capstone project and present it to the property leadership team.
• Take part in on-the-job and self-paced training.
• Maintain valid work authorization for the duration of the program.
