International Operations Intern Part Time
About The Position
Labconco is seeking a temporary, part-time International Operations Intern to support its International Operations team. The role provides hands-on experience in global customer support, international order processing, export logistics, compliance activities, and cross-functional business operations. The intern will work with team members who support distributors and customers worldwide, helping ensure orders, documentation, and operational activities are completed accurately and on time. This role is based in Kansas City, Missouri, and offers exposure to international sales support, logistics, compliance, and customer operations in a growing global manufacturing environment. The position is hourly and non-exempt. It supports the team during planned absences and ongoing strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Previous customer service, administrative, logistics, or office experience.
- Exposure to international business, global trade, or foreign cultures.
- Additional language skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with international order entry and order processing activities.
- Support customer and distributor communications about orders, delivery status, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate order records and documentation.
- Assist with export documentation and shipment coordination.
- Work with production, accounting, marketing, and customer service to support international customers.
- Monitor open orders and follow up on actions needed to meet customer requirements.
- Support logistics and transportation coordination activities.
- Assist with product classification, compliance documentation, and data validation projects.
- Contribute to special projects related to international operations, process improvements, and business growth initiatives.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the International Operations team.
