About The Position
Steven Hyundai is expanding and seeking an Internal Service Advisor to support its internal service operations. This role is crucial for coordinating repairs and maintenance for inventory, recon, and internal dealership vehicles, ensuring efficient processing while maintaining quality and communication. The advisor will collaborate with technicians, parts personnel, used car management, and service leadership to ensure vehicles are properly documented, repaired, and delivered on time. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Requirements
- Previous automotive dealership or service department experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments
- Basic understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes
- Comfortable using dealership systems and computer applications
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Previous Service Advisor or internal advisor experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Open and manage repair orders for internal and inventory vehicles
- Coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance with technicians and shop foreman
- Communicate with used car and sales departments regarding vehicle status and timelines
- Ensure repair orders are properly documented and updated accurately
- Monitor vehicle progress and help maintain efficient workflow throughout the shop
- Review completed work for accuracy and completeness before vehicle release
- Assist in prioritizing internal work to meet dealership production goals
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely parts availability
- Maintain strong communication with management regarding delays or issues
- Uphold dealership standards, policies, and procedures
