We are currently looking for an Account Analyst/Associate, Internal Sales, to join our PIMCO Wealth Canada team. The Account Analyst/Associate (AA) will work closely with a field-based Account Manager (AM) to build and sustain significant client relationships with financial advisors (from Bank, regional and independent broker/dealers) within a specific geographic territory. The goal is to acquire and retain mutual fund and other professionally managed assets. Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-4 years of professional work experience, preferably within financial services or investment management industry

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong interest and stay updated on financial markets, global economic environment, asset allocation, investment vehicles, and the overall financial services industry
  • Engage in substantial client interaction through phone, email, screen-sharing, and occasionally, in-person meetings (including territory travel, industry conferences, due diligence, etc.)
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our clients' diverse business practices and needs
  • Provide relevant market insights, product information, investment ideas, and sales support with confidence
  • Strategically manage activities in the territory, contributing to the creation and execution of a business plan
  • Strive to think and act like effective business leaders, taking full responsibility for the development of certain client segments
  • Understand the importance of ongoing training and continuing education in building strong client relationships. Many AAs have achieved CFA, CIMA, CAIA, and other industry designations with firm support
  • Actively contribute to the team by participating in department meetings, collaborating with colleagues across different PIMCO functions, leading and participating in working groups, sharing unique ideas, and fully utilizing continuous mentoring and training
  • Aim for a long-term career with PIMCO, with the potential to serve clients and the firm in various capacities over time. Several experienced and dedicated AAs have transitioned to account management, strategic accounts, and client-facing roles in other distribution channels.
