About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking an Internal Medicine Primary Care Physician to join their growing team in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. This is a new location where the physician will have the opportunity to build their own patient panel. The office operates Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Call is rotated among physicians and advanced practice clinicians in the region and is triaged by nurses first. Patient slot durations vary based on visit type, with longer slots for new patients, preventative care for those 45 and older, and medical clearances, and shorter slots for younger patients, return visits, and acute issues. Full-time is defined as 36 patient-facing hours. The internal medicine division is expanding, with over 20 practices and 100 clinicians. LVHN offers a flexible Monday-Friday schedule, onsite and remote care team support for in-basket tasks, and opportunities for career development in teaching, research, and physician leadership.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
- Current Pennsylvania Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services as an Internal Medicine Physician.
- Build and manage a patient panel in a new practice location.
- Participate in a shared call rotation with other regional practices.
- Collaborate with onsite and remote care teams to manage in-basket work.
- Engage in opportunities for teaching, research, and physician leadership.
