About The Position

Full-time opportunity for an internal medicine physician to join rural health community clinics on an island. The north and south clinics serve patients across all age groups and income levels and are part of a larger healthcare system operated by the local critical access hospital. The physician works two days per week at each clinic location in a four-day work week. The clinics have 24/7 hospitalist coverage, with telephone call coverage at a 1:6 frequency. The provider team includes one family medicine physician and five mid-level providers. Both clinics have registered nurses who triage and assist providers with patient care, and medical social work services are available to clinic patients. The clinics participate in the National Health Service Corps and a state student loan repayment program. The position offers a salary and benefits package in a small-community island setting.

Requirements

• MD in Internal Medicine, as indicated by the position title.
• Prefer private practice and/or rural health experience.
