About The Position

This is a six-month contract role for an Internal Communications Manager. The primary goal is to build an internal communications engine that ensures employees understand the company's vision, goals, plans, and achievements, fostering engagement and alignment. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, partnering directly with executive leadership. The company, QAD, is a virtual-first organization focused on growth, innovation, and well-being, with a global workforce of 1,500 people.

  • Credibility and confidence to push back on messaging.
  • Proven ability to work across Marketing, Product, Legal, Finance, and People teams.
  • Hands-on experience producing virtual and hybrid all-hands events at scale (Zoom Events, Teams Live, or equivalent).
  • High emotional intelligence and cross-cultural awareness.
  • Fluent in modern workplace tools: Slack, Microsoft Teams/SharePoint, intranet CMS platforms.
  • Actively curious about AI tools that improve writing, workflow, and communications effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy and plan.
  • Build and manage a 30–90 day editorial calendar.
  • Design and roll out communications programs to support business plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Legal, Investor Relations, Public Affairs, Customer, and People teams.
  • Champion the use of AI and emerging technologies in communications.
  • Ghost-write executive communications, including strategic memos, all-staff announcements, and video scripts.
  • Partner with the CPO and executive team to connect employees to business strategy, product milestones, customer wins, and organizational change.
  • Build a repeatable manager cascade system with toolkits, talking points, and FAQs.
  • Audit and improve current internal channels (Google Chat, QAD Connect/intranet, email).
  • Leverage existing tools and build new ones (intranet, webinars, town halls) for a modern communications infrastructure.
  • Establish clear publishing standards for message delivery.
  • Own the end-to-end all-hands experience, including agenda, narrative, slide deck, speaker coaching, facilitation, and follow-through.
  • Rebuild the all-hands to be interactive, informative, and engaging.
  • Lead communications for key people initiatives (benefits, performance cycles, talent programs, recognition campaigns).
  • Lead the communications strategy for CSR, DE&I, Wellbeing, and Alumni initiatives.
  • Build playbooks, templates, and governance guidelines for ongoing communications.
