About The Position

Working as a Full-time Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of audit and analytical functions. This position will report to the Internal Audit Manager. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Requirements

18 years of age or older
Possess or are working towards a degree in Accounting or related Business field OR have relevant work experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Willingness to travel

Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

Documenting processes and procedures of various Fastenal Company finance departments
Assisting with internal control design, documentation, and implementation
Performing specific audit test plans to ensure compliance with relevant company accounting requirements and standards
Performing analytical analyses of financial and operational data
Investigating reported or suspected unethical activity
Completing special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned, including assisting other Fastenal Company finance departments
