About The Position
Internal Audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. To help Nationwide serve customers with the extraordinary care they deserve, we leverage data analytics, technology, and business insights to identify risks, evaluate controls, and support informed decision-making. Our work provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of business functions, emerging risks, and strategic initiatives. As an Internal Audit intern, you'll gain exposure to both assurance and advisory work, helping teams assess risks, evaluate business processes, and provide insights that drive improvement. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, learn about Nationwide's operations, and develop valuable analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills through meaningful, real-world projects. This internship will be based out of our Columbus, Ohio office throughout the 12 week experience.
Requirements
- Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data & Analytics, Information Systems within 2-3 semesters of graduation
- Academic excellence (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred)
- Experiences that demonstrate leadership qualities and interest in data analytics, technology, problem-solving, or risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
