About The Position

Huntington's internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands-on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award-winning culture through community involvement and team-based activities. Internships at Huntington are designed to help students build a strong foundation for future career success while contributing to meaningful business initiatives. Within the Audit Segment, interns gain exposure to how Huntington identifies, evaluates, and manages risk across the organization. Opportunities may include supporting IT Audit, Data Audit and Business Audit teams through work related to internal controls, technology, compliance, operations, and business processes. Students will partner with audit professionals on meaningful projects while building skills in analysis, problem-solving, risk assessment, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions
