About The Position

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking an intern to join the Internal Audit team for the summer. PALIG’s Summer Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global business environment, strengthening both technical and professional communication skills. The internship focuses on supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives across the organization, including an active role in Project Surge, a key PALIG initiative designed to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational performance. The intern will support advisory work and team-led projects by analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with Internal Audit team members and business partners. This role contributes to initiatives aimed at improving workflows, organizational structure, and overall operational performance, providing exposure to strategic analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Requirements

  • Candidates must be current undergraduate or graduate students
  • Expected to work approximately 40 hours per week in a full-time capacity
  • Expected to be onsite 2–3 days per week at either the New Orleans, LA or Oak Brook, IL office (subject to manager discretion)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives across the organization
  • Playing an active role in Project Surge
  • Supporting advisory work and team-led projects by analyzing business processes
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborating with Internal Audit team members and business partners
  • Contributing to initiatives aimed at improving workflows, organizational structure, and overall operational performance
  • Participating in regularly scheduled Lunch & Learn sessions highlighting different business functions
  • Engaging in other planned internship program activities and events
