About The Position

Wilton Re’s Norwalk-based internship program is a fast-paced, 10–12-week opportunity to gain professional experience related to an intern’s field of study or career interests. Interns take part in an accelerated learning experience, apply and develop skills while working on active Wilton Re projects, participate in community outreach, and build professional skills and business acumen through exposure to senior leadership, unique projects, mentors, and fellow interns. This Internal Audit Intern will support the Internal Audit department with control walkthroughs, documentation, and preparation for control testing. The position is hybrid in Norwalk, Connecticut, with three days in the office and two days working from home. The role is expected to be full time from the beginning of June to mid-August. The hourly pay range is $20.00–$30.00.

Responsibilities

Assist the Internal Audit department in coordinating and scheduling control walkthrough meetings among Internal Audit, business control owners, and external audit.
Participate in control walkthrough meetings scheduled for June 7–25, identify follow-up items, and ensure those activities are completed on time.
Assist the Internal Audit department in updating control narratives and flowcharts and confirming changes with business owners.
Draft and maintain document request lists for Phase I control testing, planned from early August through the end of the internship.
