About The Position

MCE is recruiting paid, part-time interns for its 2027 Winter Internship Program. The program is designed for highly motivated individuals interested in exploring careers in renewable energy and learning about professional work settings. Interns receive ongoing development opportunities, educational materials, practical experience in one of MCE’s departments, and an opportunity to learn about careers in the renewable energy industry. The internship lasts 3–6 months, pays $22.00 per hour, and is expected to start January 11, 2027.

MCE is a not-for-profit public agency serving residents and businesses in Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano counties. Its work includes providing renewable power and energy programs. MCE offers a collaborative, inclusive, and flexible work environment that values innovation, equity, creativity, work-life balance, and community service. Depending on role responsibilities and in-person meeting requirements, employees may work remotely, in a hybrid arrangement, or in the office. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be from MCE’s service area.
