About The Position

Under supervision, Interns at Steinberg Hart rotate through a variety of projects to gain exposure to a cross section of the firm’s practice areas and to all phases of projects. The position supports design, research, marketing, and construction administration activities.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a School of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or aligned degree program.
• Have basic knowledge of architectural building systems.
• Have a basic understanding of the arrangement of working drawings and of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Be willing to learn, accept direction, and be mentored.
• Work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Have strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
• Have basic knowledge of relevant computer software, including AutoCAD 2014 or later, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SketchUp or Rhino for modeling.
• Knowledge of 3D Studio Max or Maxwell Render for rendering.
• Knowledge of Revit for Building Information Modeling.

Responsibilities

• Create and assemble client deliverables using CAD, Revit, SketchUp, Illustrator, and other tools.
• Generate plan layouts, elevations, and sections in collaboration with project design staff and Design Directors.
• Research materials, codes, vendors, and suppliers.
• Build physical models, including work using 3D printers and laser cutting.
• Assist the Marketing Department with general graphics and project pursuits.
• Assist project teams with construction administration tasks and site visits.
