OVERVIEW Morning Brew Inc. is looking for a social video intern who can assist the social video team with research, production, and content publishing for the flagship Morning Brew social accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of in-depth research and writing skills, with some technical video editing capabilities. They will have a passion for content creation and visual/humorous storytelling. At the end of the internship, the intern will have the hard skills needed to work on a multimedia team and a portfolio of published video content to showcase. Our summer internship position is a part-time role based in our New York office.
Requirements
- A current junior or senior enrolled in a relevant degree program
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- Ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively as the project demands, and meet deadlines
- Interest in business-related news
- Passionate about Morning Brew Inc. and the work we do
Nice To Haves
- Experience writing humorous content
- On-camera or on-stage performance experience
- Portfolio showcasing previous work
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the social video team to help execute their projects such as filming and standing in as an extra
- Pitch engaging story ideas that align with the company's brand pillars (business news and stories, finance, entrepreneurship and innovation)
- Conduct thorough research for stories
- Write engaging and informative editorial scripts optimized for social platforms
- Serve as the on-camera talent
- Edit social-first video content
