About The Position

McDermott is seeking an engineering intern to join its Process Engineering team in the Houston office. The intern will learn about process design, the application of codes and standards, design techniques, and analysis methods. Working in a project team environment with peers and mentors, the intern will develop and review engineering documentation while building their career.

Requirements

• Recently graduated from, or one semester away from graduating from, a bachelor's or master's engineering curriculum.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and professionalism.
• Experience using MS Office Suite, including MS Word and MS Excel.
• A growth mindset and willingness to learn and accept improvement feedback.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with databases.
• Familiarity with key Process Engineering design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Gain an understanding of process scope of work and specifications.
• Assist in developing key Process Engineering design documentation.
• Develop and review equipment datasheets.
• Develop a Line List.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
