About The Position

As a Process Engineer Intern based at CarMax’s Corporate Offices in Richmond, Virginia, you will help identify opportunities within large-scale projects to drive continuous improvement using Lean principles. You will collaborate with operations teams to uncover areas for improvement and influence stakeholders to implement impactful changes. The role involves working with store teams and management to understand critical processes, and may include store visits or minor travel, depending on the company travel policy at the time of the internship.

Areas of involvement include streamlining processes, facility planning, work measurements and time studies, production planning and inventory control, and supporting and managing engineering documents. The internship emphasizes collaboration, innovation, problem-solving, and participating in CarMax’s culture and work-life balance.
