About The Position

The Loan Servicing Intern will provide assistance to the Loan Servicing Department with recurring operational and administrative responsibilities as well as special projects supporting the life of a loan.

Requirements

  • The internship will run for Summer of 2027 beginning mid-May and ending early August.
  • Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Must reside local to the St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL area and report to the assigned office.
  • Enrolled in a degree program at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
  • Works well in team environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
  • Comfortable working with technology and learning multiple banking systems.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks across Loan Servicing functions based on department business needs and priorities.
  • Gain exposure to areas such as escrow administration, tax and insurance processing, flood compliance, collateral maintenance, customer requests, quality control, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support meaningful projects and assignments that contribute to department priorities and provide exposure to a variety of Loan Servicing functions.
  • Assist with data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and work involving multiple banking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Collaborate with team members across different Loan Servicing functional areas while following established procedures and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
