About The Position

Alaska Airlines is hiring a Material Operations intern for Summer 2027. The internship is a full-time, 12-week program based in SeaTac, Washington, with two program timelines available to align with different academic calendars. Candidates who are not already in the internship city must relocate for the duration of the internship. The internship is intended to provide skill development and work experience; it does not guarantee future employment or a relevant role after the program. The intern will support projects focused on Aircraft on Ground (AOG) operations across 737 and non-737 operations. Work includes documenting processes, identifying workflow improvements, analyzing operational performance, and developing reporting that helps improve AOG response and reduce aircraft downtime. Interns also gain hands-on experience, network with employees and company leaders, and receive standby travel privileges during the internship.

  • Evaluate AOG response and recovery trends, identify process improvement opportunities, and support after-action reviews to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce aircraft downtime.
