Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since the Second World War. The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Through its NSS–related work, Seaspan Shipyards is owning the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians. As Intern, Master Scheduling, you will gain hands-on experience in production planning and coordination at Seaspan’s Operations Center in North Vancouver. Working alongside experienced planners, you will help maintain alignment between integrated master schedules and enterprise resource planning systems, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information that supports vessel construction. You will develop a strong understanding of ship build strategies, scheduling tools, and production workflows while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to keep projects on track. You’ll contribute to maintaining critical planning systems, supporting standard operating procedures, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in scheduling processes. Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at Ops Center (50 Pemberton Avenue), North Vancouver.
