About The Position

Internships within Lifecycle Services (LCS) provide unique opportunities to develop your engineering, analytical, and customer-centric skills. As a Field Service Intern you will travel to customer sites with a Field Service Engineer to understand in person support interactions with Rockwell Automation Customers. You will support our customers and field personnel with troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in person. You will experience the responsibilities of a Field Support Engineer in Motions & Controls to learn how they approach troubleshooting in their respective area of work. You will manage customer interactions by setting expectations, capturing the issue, resolution and steps taken to troubleshoot, and following up with customers in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Active enrollment in a four year or advanced engineering degree program at an accredited university
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
  • Flexibility on location and travel. This role will be based out of a field office and will travel frequently to customer sites. Current locations are Dallas Texas, Davenport Iowa,

Nice To Haves

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above with a Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering major in progress
  • Expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028
  • Experience quickly acquiring new information and skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with diverse groups, including clients, peers, and managers
  • Proven customer service skills

Responsibilities
