About The Position

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and has become a leader in autonomous ground transportation committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Altium or Cadence is preferred.
  • Exposure to I2C, SPI, CANbus, or battery systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, development, and testing of AV power system equipment, encompassing hardware and component selection, PCB design, and system-level integration and testing
  • Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, encompassing both engineering and non-engineering disciplines
  • Carry out assigned tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers, engineering managers, and project engineers
  • Accountable for executing and completing small-scale scopes of work, ensuring alignment with project constraints such as quality, schedule, and cost
  • Create technical presentations and effectively communicate your work efforts to colleagues and stakeholders
  • Generate Electrical wiring diagrams/tables, models, simulations and schematics
  • Gather, process, and analyze extensive datasets to inform and support decision-making
