Electrical Engineering Intern - Winter

Fab2Austin, TX
Onsite

About The Position

The fab2 team is rebuilding the chip fabrication process from the ground up and is looking for Electrical Engineering Interns for the winter term. The internship begins in January, with a preferred commitment of 4 to 8 months. Interns will be exposed to interesting and impactful work, collaborating with other engineers to develop lithography systems, deposition tools, vacuum chambers, nanometer precision motion control, plasma etching systems, and related tools. The role requires identifying problems, prototyping solutions, productionizing prototypes, and delivering finished solutions. The company's philosophy is to get things built and tested in days or weeks, not months. A portfolio is required to apply, showcasing built projects. Experience with shipping a medium-to-high complexity system through a personal project or previous internship is a good fit.

  • Hands-on prototyping experience and the ability to move through design cycles quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with semiconductor processing— ALD, CVD, PVD, photolithography, etc.
