About The Position

This is your opportunity to join WSP’s Property & Buildings team as an
Electrical Engineering Intern. As a third‑year university student, you’ll gain
hands-on experience supporting complex building projects while working alongside
experienced engineers who are shaping resilient, sustainable communities. This
role offers exposure to real‑world design challenges, mentorship, and meaningful
professional growth.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at an accredited Ontario university.
• Completion of three years of your undergraduate engineering program.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles, systems, and applicable standards.
• Exposure to electrical system design across institutional, commercial, or mixed‑use facilities.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
• Strong curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support senior electrical engineers in the design and development of electrical systems for complex building projects.
• Prepare electrical drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Shadow engineers and contribute to the delivery of multidisciplinary building design projects.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure design outputs align with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Contribute to innovative, sustainable, and future‑ready building solutions.
