About The Position

Moog’s Electronics Product Design team within the Military Aircraft Group is seeking a summer 2027 block intern. The position is onsite in Torrance, California. The intern will contribute to electronics product design engineering work and provide technical support to engineers. Depending on the student’s educational discipline, work may include electrical or mechanical design, circuit or multiphysics analysis, and FPGA, MATLAB, or embedded software development and testing. The intern will also provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution, collaborate as a multidisciplinary team member, and represent Moog professionally. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited university Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
• Have a GPA of at least 3.0; the exact GPA requirement will be specified by the department.
• Be able to relocate for the duration of the internship.
• Have a professional disposition, effective communication skills, a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with one or more of the following: Cadence Capture/PCB/SI, Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB, VHDL, C, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation and execution of electronics product design engineering tasks.
• Provide technical support to engineers as needed.
• Contribute to electrical or mechanical design, circuit or multiphysics analysis, and/or FPGA, MATLAB, or embedded software development and testing, as appropriate to the student’s educational discipline.
• Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Work as a multidisciplinary member of a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical and professional reputation.
