About The Position

This position is for Loma Linda University students. The internship will provide the Intern with an overview of the Information Services Department, mentorship, shadowing, and hands on training from current Electronic Health Record Specialists. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled at Loma Linda University in a Bachelor's of Health Informatics or Master's of Health Information Systems Program.
• No Experience required.
• Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality.
• Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
• Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
• Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
• Collaborate and accept direction.
• Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
• Think critically.
• Manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Organize and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide an overview of the Information Services Department.
• Receive mentorship, shadowing, and hands-on training from current Electronic Health Record Specialists.
