About The Position
This position provides analytical support to the Commercial Finance team in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. The intern completes duties related to month-end close, planning, forecasting, budgeting, and general business analysis. The primary duties are within the Commercial Finance organization and include collecting and analyzing monthly financial data, supporting forecasts and reporting, assisting with financial reporting materials, and contributing to projects and ad hoc analyses. Candidates should be full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate-level program, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role is based in a professional corporate office in Rochester, New York. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, extended periods at a desk and computer, and the ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations are indicated.
Requirements
- Be a current full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate-level program.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong oral and written communication and interaction skills.
- Have solid financial acumen and analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Have a strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Be able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude, motivation, and the ability to work with people at all levels.
- Be a self-starter able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Be able to travel commercially to domestic and international locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting monthly financial data and analyzing monthly financial results.
- Support monthly and quarterly forecasting, planning, and reporting.
- Assist in preparing the monthly financial reporting package.
- Assist with ongoing projects as needed.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned.
