About The Position

ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical (DCMC) Group provides client-centric engineering design services focused on partnerships, accountability, and exceptional solutions for enterprise, co-location, and hyper-scale data centers. Our engineers deliver flexible, scalable solutions to enhance energy efficiency and operational reliability. Services include pre- and post-construction design engineering, site evaluations, and infrastructure optimization. We ensure transparent collaboration throughout all project phases, from assessment and planning to execution, with a focus on cohesion, accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget. Our expertise covers electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering, commissioning, acceptance testing, and construction management. This internship offers a vital role in designing and strengthening critical infrastructure for the world's energy and environmental systems. Interns will contribute to ensuring the safety and resilience of facilities and lead environmental remediation projects. The role involves solving real-world challenges with lasting impact in a dynamic and collaborative workplace. Interns will gain valuable industry experience, shape their careers, and work on impactful energy projects in a supportive environment for growth and development.

Requirements

  • Graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in Civil Engineering (with a structural focus) or Structural Engineering.
  • Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
